In 2020, Animal Refuge Kansai (ARK), marked an incredible three decades of rescuing dogs, cats, rabbits, horses and many other kinds of pet and farm animals – with the numbers rescued run into the thousands.

AWJ have supported ARK with eight grants for various projects over the years. The first was in 2005 for £7,999, and the total now stands at £62,548, not including the grant for £20,000 that was given this year for ARK’s fostering project.

Past grants have been given for: an animal clinic; veterinary medicines and equipment; and for building kennels at Sasayama.
